Career Building Classes in Ukraine Shelter
After visiting Ukrainian shelters in November of 2009 and delivering a few hundred pounds of supplies (toothpaste, soap, etc), we decided to start working with a shelter in Kiev. In August of this year, with a grant of $4,000 provided by Courage to Hope this shelter was able to hire a professional therapist to hold group therapy sessions as well as start two career development programs.
One is a computer literacy program and the other is a manicure training program. The women receive computer presentations as well as hands-on training. Those who graduate the courses receive a certificate to help them get jobs and start their life anew.
Thank you so much for your donations to truly give these women Courage to Hope for a better life.
